The Elements Edit: Caps for the Autumn Months

Autumn calls for protection against shifting weather. Discover our seasonal caps, crafted in fabrics designed to meet the elements.

Scottish Oilskin

Inspired by the 15th-century sailors who would treat their sails with linseed oil to keep them dry, Oilskin is an organic waxed cotton that originated as an evolution of this age-old practice. For a decade, we have sourced our Oilskin from Halley Stevenson's historic mill in Dundee to craft this classic cap.

Oilskin is built to last. The durability and water-repellency are unmatched, and over time, the cap will develop a patina, showing its wear elegantly. An age-old textile, and yet one of the caps that continues to perform in unpredictable weather while showing its character over time.

Ventile® Cotton

During the Second World War, Ventile® Cotton was developed to provide RAF pilots with a breathable fabric that would also keep them warm and dry if they were to reach water. This ingenious natural material has been used from the first summit of Everest to the Arctic, and now for a seasonless cap.

Ventile® Cotton is known for its combination of performance and timeless appearance, making it an ideal cap for daily wear and light activities. This ingenious Swiss material transforms natural fibers into a technical fabric. The special process gives the cap a natural water-repellency while maintaining lightweight and preferred breathability. To the eye, it looks like classic cotton, for ultimate wearability.
