Leichtfried Loden was founded in 1884. As an Austrian wool mill that makes high-quality fabrics, they use extra-fine Australian merino wool.

Still family-run, the mill has been perfecting its craft for more than 130 years, prioritizing sustainable practices and traditional expertise.

Our partnership with Leichtfried allows us to source merino fabrics of the highest standard, ensuring that every cap combines sustainable wool production with lasting quality.

For our Autumn / Winter Collections, we continue to incorporate more of their exceptionally soft merino wools.

Our Virgin Wool caps originate from the Piemonte region of northern Italy, sourced from world-renowned mills such as Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis Canonico and Lanificio Angelico. This fabric is crafted from finely brushed sheep’s wool, creating a mélange texture that is both elegant and highly functional.

Virgin wool is known for keeping us warm in cold weather. It also breathes well in milder climates. This makes it one of the most versatile cap materials in our collection.

Since 1663, Vitale Barberis Canonico has been at the forefront of fine wool production. This family-run mill has mastered the balance between traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation.
