Design & construction

Man in a gray sweater wearing a blue alcantara cap from Varsity Headwear leans against a vintage silver sports car on a sunny day

Designed for

Crafted from Alcantara® in a range of timeless hues, this cap is an elevated staple that fairs well during the year's transitional seasons.

Legacy Soft shape

The Legacy Soft is a 6-panel cap, with the same panel design as the Legacy Structured, but with no additional stiffening in the front panels. The soft front panels allow the cap to form more to the head, giving a more relaxed appearance.

Alcantara®

Alcantara® is an innovative soft-touch material produced exclusively in Italy, with many of the same characteristics as real suede, but is more durable and stain-resistant.

Detailing

At the back, you will find our signature nylon strap, inspired by the NATO watch strap, which features stainless steel rings to adjust the size for a personalized fit. The cap is lined at the front panels with viscose, a luxuriously soft material that has historically been used in top hat linings.
